- During all stages of NPP construction process, License is subject to NSSC’s Inspection on the construction and performance of NPP
The National policies and strategies to ensure the safe use of nuclear energy are prescribed in the Nuclear Safety Act, based on which NSSC responsibilities cover: nuclear reactors; fuel cycle facilities; uses of nuclear materials; and transport, storage and disposal of radioactive materials and wastes.
NSSC conducts site approval, issuance of construction permit, pre-operational inspection, issuance of operation license, QA inspections, and periodic safety review for regulation of nuclear facilities.
